The cap is typically convex. When the fungi are young, the caps are brown, and the color fades to gray or white as they mature. The gills are gray or black, and the spores are usually the same shade.
Interestingly, the term Blue Meanie also refers to a specific type of Psilocybe cubensis, which is also psychoactive.
These are specific type of Blue Meanie mushrooms known as the Yeti Blue Meanies. These are thicker in size and come with a light colored cap and thick blue stems.
